Fuses keep blowing, cd player wont work.
my car keeps blowing a fuse right when you put it in, the dome light, power door locks and cd player wont come on, and automatic rear hatch lock, it worked before i got a guy to install my engine, can anyone tell me where this short may be or how i can fix this? all my fuses work except 1 it blows right when you put it in, even with the key turne off. thanks alot

Can you try to unplug your CD player from the power source (to isolate it) and see if a new fuse still blows? If the fuse does NOT blow then the problem would be with the CD player. And if the CD player is the problem then check to make sure the serial number of the CD player is the same as the one you originally purchased.

I had this same problem and it turned out my cigarette lighter was bad and blowing all the fuses I put in that socket. CD player, dome light and a few other things I can't remember would all go poof.
I had to replace the entire assembly and then that fixed it. It also gave me the ability to use more modern/custom lighters and accessories since I didnt have that funky 80's style socket too.
Try removing the lighter from the socket and see if it still blows. Your mileage may vary...
