No high voltage at rear tails

Well, no luck searching for it, but I have no brake lights or turn signals at the tail lights (it's a '90 Trans Am, 5-spd). Additionally, the turn signal is not ativating the dash indicators or the front markers, nor is it firing the relays. No bad fuses in the box, plus the annoying fact that it's an issue with two different fuse circuits. Any help or even a helpful hint would be greatly appreciated.

**edit**
After some testing, there is voltage at all fuses involved with the system, as well as the brake pedal switch, and the switch is good, putting out voltage on the two output wires when depressed. If anyone knows where the relays for the brake/turn circuits are located, that would greatly ease troubleshooting.

Re: No high voltage at rear tails

So after some lengthy testing and checking for shorts/breaks, the answer became quite simple: the hazard lights, which don't work properly were turned on, and because of that, cut high voltage to the tails. Once we fixed that, the tail lights worked beautifully.

Now, about two months later, there is no high voltage to the right side tail light for turn or brake, plus the turn signal stays on constant on right, with only the front lighting up. I've inspected all the bulbs, all of which are fairly new and none of which look burned or broke, and the harness plug under the lower drivers side b-pillar trim is still plugged in properly and has been cleaned. any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Also, just to double check myself, I swapped the bulbs out with the working left side, and all worked over there, but none on the right, so it's definitely not a bulb issue. Plus I went through all the fuses and as much of the harness as I can get to and looked it over and it all seems good.

you mean the brake pedal switch is good or the switch in the column? and why do you keep saying high voltage? 750V or less is considered low voltage. no way the brake lights use more then that

Actually, both are good as the turn signals are actuating and the drivers side and center brake lights are both working. Also, differentiating between the relative low vs high voltage in reference to the marker light circuit and brake/turn circuit. Though technically incorrect as it's amperes, I just am using that terminology to keep it straight in my head. Though I've wired in and tuned 2 standalone engine computer systems, I will never admit to being an electrician.

Also, through just simple troubleshooting thus far, the problem has been isolated to the dash/column area as there is no power going to the right side lights except for the marker circuit at the umbilical plug just behind the drivers seat along the rocker. Any ideas to lead me to the source would help greatly. Just a rundown of what I've checked under the dash so far: tail and turn fuses (and every other fuse while I was there), flasher canister, grounds/shorts, and just about anything else I could think, and still nothing but the right front turn signal and dash indicator staying on constantly when activated.

Re: No high voltage at rear tails

ok makes sense to me i am an apprentice electrician so it confused me a bit, anyway. inside the steering column there is a bunch of wires in one plug connected to the lever that turns on the lights maybe there could be your problem?
