Electronics Need help wiring something up? Thinking of adding an electrical component to your car? Need help troubleshooting that wiring glitch?

any idea what this plug is?

This is located on the driver side close to the firewall, I discovered it uplugged while changing spark plugs, this is the best pic I was a able to get of it, any ideas what it might be? I cant find anywhere for it to plug into.

i can see what looks like the white ceramic of a spark plug

87 LG4? There is a mystery plug that hangs down there that doesn't connect to anything. Lots of posts here about it. Got the same one on my 87. I'll chase it down one day to see what it is.

You may also have an unused plug near your power steering box if you've got A/C.

This makes me feel better - i changed my plugs last weekend, SAME THING, i searched and searched, cant find where it plugs in.

I'd have to guess its for some type of accessory... ? Regardless, if your's isnt plugged in either I dont feel too worried.

That makes me feel a little bit better. I have the one in front of the steering box as well, I was told it was for foglights.

Same way I found it, I though I unhooked it somehow, glad its not just me.
