Need help asap...Frozen Vats System?
Hi everyone, got an interesting problem on my hands.
I went out with some friends after work and when we got back my place of work where my car was parked, she just wouldn't start. No crank, nada. Logically I'd figure it'd be the ignition cylinder, but that was just replaced back in March. The security light would go on as soon as I put the key to the on position, and go off when I try to start it. It was super cold out (roads were starting to freeze) and is well below freezing so I didn't even bother trying to fix it tonite.
Is it possible that the cold weather caused something on the vats system to freeze and/or break? Any help I could get would be wonderful, because I have to attempt to figure it out tomorrow morning.

My camaro did that EXACT SAME THING, drove fine turned it off went to start it 45 mins later, no crank nothing, security light came on. to make a long story short had to take it to a mechanic, It was the Ignition module/cylinder comes with a new key for 170 dollars. Just got the car back yesterday
and she runs great. I understand from the chevy dealer there are very small easy wires to break in the ignition cylinder. So even though you had it replaced, I would be everything it's that again, mine did EXACT, woudnt even crank. I had alot of keys on my key chain not sure if the wait of those helped screw it up or not......

Just got back from my work, oddly enough the car started perfectly with both sets of keys. So I have no idea what would cause it not to crank...maybe someone was trying to steal my car
Pretty sad if they were trying to steal a base model v6 with 1 coat of rustoleum.
