gauge help

I just picked up a set of 140mph and the higher reading tach. I have an 88 T/A and put them in. I had the 120mph and lower reading tach, will they still read right or are they going to be off.

Thanks

If your car is a V8, the new cluster should work fine.

Re: gauge help

Got another problem, the gauges do not read right. The speedometer goes in and out and the tach just reads real slow. They worked alright with the old gauges so I guess it is just the gauges??

Make sure the cluster is well seated.

Re: gauge help

Does your car have a speedo cable? I know the spring on the speedo itself is calibrated for whatever background the gauge has (120, 140, etc). If you have a V6 and are using a V8 tach, it will read too low.
