Battery relocation install
Here's what I did for my battery relocation to the trunk. I used a 1/0 ga. cable from Taylor that runs from the battery to the starter, I then kept the stock cable from the starter to the electrical junction. For the battery recharge I used a 6 ga. cable that runs under the radiator and wraps around to the starter, then it runs parallel to the battery cable (I initially had a 10ga. cable, but it was a weak charge). The battery cable also has a 200 amp Bussman fuse mounted close to the battery, just in case of an accident.
Here are both cables running behind the passenger wheel, into the passenger compartment. There was already an opening next to the passengers right foot filled with foam, so these cables were easy to run through the body. The cables then run under the carpet, next to the passenger seat, and over the wheel well to the battery.

Overall, not a hard install, it just takes some time.

Couple of questions here.
Can't you just run the cable under the car for the entire length until u get to the trunk area?
Do you need to run a charging wire all the way to the battery? Can't u just run it to the starter where the other end of the battery cable is?
Do we have any concerns about battery fumes in our hatch backs.

That is a really nice install.
Here's how i did mine: mounted battery in custom
made tray in spare tire well,connected batt cable to
junction block,(power for audio amps t's off here)
ran 2-0 cable(prob.overkill,but had it on hand)over
rear fender and along rocker under the plastic trim,
ran cable through firewall,underneath heater box to
starter. used a piece of 1-0 cable to make a ground
from RH engine mount to x-member.
So far have had no trouble with battery outgassing
back there(no smells or evidence of corrosion)
but i plan to make a battery venting system-
battery should last longer in the cooler area!

I ran a charge line because I wanted to minimize resistance in the cable, I'm not losing any power in the charge from a junction.
Yes, a regular liquid battery will vent fumes, so you should put it in a sealed box and vent it outside somehow. Even though you may not smell the fumes, you don't want long exposure to them. An Ultima battery is sealed and you don't need to vent them.
