ok i just bought this 86 IROC and the wipers dont work at all... the car has tilt wheel, cruise control... and i dont know if it has delay or not... since obviously i cant run them... i do know the lever turns 3 clicks... if that helps..lol....how do i find out or test to see if its the wiper switch or the motor that has failed.... i am not sure as to the diagnostics... please help if you can

 

did you check the fuse?

 

yes the fuse is good... i applied a hot wire directly to the wiper motor to the grey wire i believe... and the motor clicked but that was it... what wire do i tap into to try and make the motor run manually...

 

Get a test light and turn the wiper motor on by the switch.If the wiper motor has power to it that it has to be the motor. If not test the switch itself.
