Let's play identify these wires!!!
I can't figure out what these wires are let alone why some are cut. Last guy that owned this car was kind of a tweaker.
Sooo, last but not least a 1989 Camaro 'Verts Birdnest!!!

Re: Let's play identify these wires!!!
The first picture, to clarify, shows the HIGH PRESSURE SWITCH connector that's housed on the A/C compressor. The actual compressor clutch has a flat 2-pin connector.
The second picture seems to be showing the connector for the blower. Is your blower working?
The third picture confuses me. It is definitely something aftermarket. Does it really look like a 120V outlet with a plug or am I mistaken? Could it be a block heater then? (colder climates received block heaters on our cars, believe it or not)
I can't really see the wire in the fourth picture. But since it's orange, it could be very well for the hood light.
Hope this helps.

I was wondering what the relay was for in the 4th picture because half the wires are cut.

Re: Let's play identify these wires!!!
First pic is the connectors from the A/C Compressor as was mentioned earlier.
Second pic is almost definitely for the blower motor. To test your motor, turn the key on or start the car, and try your defroster/vent/heater fan. If you turn the **** and it blows air out the vents, it works.
Your third pic is the resistor for the blower motor. It's not the original blower motor resistor used on our cars. It looks almost identical to the one I pulled from a late 80's-early 90's Blazer at the JY.
Fourth pic, the orange wire with the rubber boot on the end is for a blower motor, from the same Blazer I mentioned in the answer to pic #3. The relay that is shown, I can only guess that they wired it in to make the blower motor work.
Here is what I think you've got: Someone in the past decided they didn't want A/C for whatever reason(less weight, and extra 5HP, leaking system, etc) and took out all the A/C equipment. They then swapped in the housing and blower motor from a mid 80's-early 90's Blazer/S10/Jimmy/S15/ Astro Van/Whatever. They then pulled out the original blower motor wiring and used the resistor for the blower motor they got, and wired in a new relay to provide power to the motor. Why do I think this? Because I'm in the middle of doing exactly what I just described to my 92 and that's exactly what the parts look like. I haven't done the wiring of it yet, but it will probably look similar to what you've got there.
