HELP!!!! left turn signal sayin steady but right works just fine

i have no idea what the problem is I bought the car for 400 and the previous owner did not take care of it.

mine does the same but only if i dont go all the way down on the switch you know what i mean if i just touch it like to switch lanes on the highway the light will just light up but it wount blink i have to push the lever all the way down till it clicks like if i was going to make a left turn as for a light bulb being out ithink in our cars it will make the indicator blink really fast it might be blinker fluid is low i think autozone sells it for 4.99 a bottle

A steady light indicates a dead exterior light, on that side.
