HELP HELP HELP escalating electrical problem

first my tonneau release went out, soon after power locks, then all interior lights (exept gauges), and now a major concern for me; the cooling fan is out. although i replaced the fan motor and relay it still does not run; checked the fuses and they are in good condition.

(FYI) while raining some water manages to get in and my phone charger caught some of that water then shorted out

Re: HELP HELP HELP escalating electrical problem

if you have a multimeter check all of the fuses for power with key on (you may have to pull a fuse at a time and check both connections One should be hot). If there is some with out, check the fusable links at the starter, if they are good check your IGN switch under the dash, but that wont explaine the dome lights, one step at a time ok

Try this troubleshooting article.
http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=36
It will help you identify the cause of your malfunctioning fan. Refrain from buying any more new parts until you know WHICH ONE is bad.

Hope this helps.

Yup, I wrote a few after I saw how many people have problems with their fuel pumps, cooling fans, door locks, starters etc.

Re: HELP HELP HELP escalating electrical problem

Check your battery cable might be the problem why the fans do not work. Find the wire that plugs into the wire harness for power to the fan or fans. Mine was bad so check out this site..www.innovativewiring.com
also check the cold start to make sure it works....check crk fuse to see if blown. hope this helps these where two problems that escalated all my eletrical problems.
