Hi,

I'm grafting an 88 engine wiring harness into a 92 V6 firebird. I was about re-pin the engine harness side of the C100 connector so that pin F8 of the body harness side has a ground connection (F8 is an airbag system ground).

Trouble is, there's already a pin in socket F8 of the engine side of the C100 connector. The diagram located below says pin F8 is not used, but there is a brown wire connected to the engine side of the connector.

Anyone know what this wire is for or where it terminates in the engine harness? I suppose I could move it to some other socket that also has no connection on the body half of C100 and then wire up my airbag system ground, but I'm also quite curious what the wire is for even though pin F8 is not used in an 88 harness.
