Hatch Motor Relay Question
I am having issues with theh hatch pull down motor. I can get the motor to pull the hatch down but when i open it up with the key the motor does not push the latch back up to the top. In order for me to get the motor back to the top i have to unplug the motor and use a test light to trip the relay several time and then plug the motor back in. Does anyone know if this is a relay problem? Note: One time the car stalled and the hatch released but the motor did not come up.

BATTEN DOWN THE HATCH
Sounds like switches/brushes are dirty/worn.
Try cleaning or replacing the relay.
Of course make sure all connectors are clean and tight.
If that doesn’t improve it disassemble the pull down unit, clean and reassemble.
It will buy a few more years for the unit.
If want a faster pit-stop swap it with a rebuilt.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
