So the other night i hit a large pot hole and it shook my car. The dash light, the A/C panel light, and the shifting column light went out. along with that, my running tail lights are done for. The brake lights work, just the tail lights are not on when the head lights are. I am sure something came loose and what not since the fuses appear to be fine, but i have no idea whete to look. any sugestions? The car is a 91 z28 with really no electrical work besides a custom stereo (installed by previous owner).

 

I'd check the TAIL fuse in the fuse box under the dash, if you haven't do that yet.
If the fuse is good, I'd check with a test light (or voltmeter) whether you get power to it with park lamps on. No power would mean either a wiring problem or headlight switch malfunction.
