Clutch pedal and Cruise Wiring

Hey guys, I've looked around on here but haven't found answers to all of my wiring questions.. I'm just finishing up swapping a T5 into my 82, which came with a 3 speed auto. Most of the wiring is done, but I'm a little confused on some of the pedal wiring. Theres a push button and a slider control thing that both have green and brown wires going into them. I also found a differently shaped connector with brown/green coming through the firewall near the cruise vacuum line, so I'm guessing it controls the cruise somehow. What I'm wondering is if the I need to connect all of the green wires and all the brown wires together or something different. One of the browns goes between the two, and the purple and yellow neutral start wires go into the back of one of them also. I attached some pics.
I'm also wondering about the connector that went into my auto shifter. I know the purple/yellow are neutral start and the green and blue are reverse lights, but I'm not sure what the orange and black/white are for. Does anyone know? Thanks everyone

Re: Clutch pedal and Cruise Wiring

Le "slider" thing is the clutch switch, it prevents from starting if the clutch pedal is not pully pressed. It's not needed if your used to manual transmissions. Mine doesn't work in my 84, so I put a wire in the connector

Re: Clutch pedal and Cruise Wiring

Thanks for the info, I guess my pic isnt very good because the neutral start plug isnt shown (the purple and yellow). It plugs into the slider behind the green and brown wires, I just have them taped together for now so the car will start. The blue and orange that plug into the black push button are for the brake lights.. I'm just trying to figure out the green and brown wires because they must be something other than the neutral start or brakes.

Re: Clutch pedal and Cruise Wiring

The green and brown wires should be for the cruise control.

The orange/black and black/white wires on the automatic shifter are for the ECM to know when the transmission is in gear (to add more fuel). These wires are not needed if you reprogram the ECM for the T5.

Hope this helps.
