Third break light out

I changed the bulb on my 92 firebird, but it still won't light up. I'm thinking it might be something with the wiring?

What’s Next From The Government? A Fourth Dork Light On The Roof?

If the bulb is good then you have to do a little diagnosing.

Use a volt/ohmmeter.

Make sure ground is good on the socket.

Now, you’ll have to determine if the dork light socket is getting 12 volts when you depress the brake pedal.

If you’re not getting ground and 12 volts make sure the connectors on the coiled cord are OK.

Have a friend help you to speed up this Pit Stop and press the brake pedal for you when testing.

The brake light switch is a DPDT that’s why your normal brake lights can work while the dork light won’t.

Use your voltmeter to probe the yellow wire at the switch.

If there is 12 volts on it when you press the brake it’s OK.

Then trace the wire to the dork light.

Happy Racing!

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
