im looking for performance chip that will gain horsepower for my camaro. any one knows where to buy them at..... i hope i posted it in right area

If you're really wanting a good tune, do it yourself or have a custom tune done.

i have the hypertech in my 91 and its not the most hp gain but it deff helps

In the ECM

First, remove ground wire from battery. Look inside under the passenger side of the dash. Remove two small screws that hold up ECM and it should drop down. There is a small cover plate on ECM with two small screws. Remove and you will see the chip. Remove chip with small flat screwdrive snapping up at each end, easy-ly. Notice how chip is positioned, install new chip. Return ECM to position under dash. Re-hook ground wire to battery. Start engine and let idle for a couple minutes. Raise RPM to about 2500 RPM for about a minute. Take car for a cruise for about ten to fifteen miles for computer to start relearning you. 'Good truckin'....
PS...I think Hypertech sends instructions with chip.

how much HP do you gain and what is the benefits of purchasing a performance chip. I found a stage 1 performance chip from performance chips direct for 69 bucks. Is it worth it?
