let's play name this plug
I was under the car the other day when I saw this wire dangling near the starter. The picture shows the passenger's side a-arm. The wire looks like it's black and feels like it's coming out of the harness around the starter area. It has about 8" or so before it joins the main harness. The plastic clip/plug is chipped/broken.
Any ideas?

Could be the fan switch wire, check the head and see if the switch between the exh. ports has a connector hooked to it.
