if only 1 fun from a set of dual fans is connected
my 85 came originally with a single fan. i picked up a set of duals but currently only have 1 plugged in. will this cause the fan to run from the time that the battery is plugged in?

Assuming you're using the single fan wiring with a new connector added, the second fan will operate the same as the first. If one comes on and the other does not, the idle fan is dead
