You mean how small of an alt?
As long as you don’t have huge audio amplifiers or ridiculous head/fog lights and wouldn’t need to use the rear defroster continuously at night 70 amps is ok.

If you're wondering how low you can go, that would depend on what you are running for electrical items. You can go as high as you want.

Im buying a real nice crome Alt and dont want to spend the extra more on amps I dont need ......
I have fog lights, 4 small neon lights inside and 1 7ince tv screen
