With Headlights on The Driver side Turnsignal Stays lit
The title says it all. The turnsignals work perfect when i dont have my Headlights on. But as soon as i turn my headlights on my front drivers side turn signal stays on solid. Not blinking just on. The Rear drivers side blinks, and the pass. side blinks but the front drivers just stays lit. I looked at the wiring and it doesnt appear to have been cut in the past.
So what do you guys think could be causing this?

Re: With Headlights on The Driver side Turnsignal Stays lit
Ok so i found the ground wires under the rad. support that go to the headlights on both sides. I cut the wires, put new ends on, and even sanded the area around them and re-hooked them. Checked with a ohm gauge to make sure i had a ground connection with .6ohm resistance. Still didnt fix my issue. Any more ideas?

change the bulb. Trust me. I bet your turn signal indicator light stays on too.

I've also had the ground lead in the bulb socket itself rust out. But that would be in the forward turn signal double bulb and it should be dim.

Sounds like you have a short to positive from the headlight circuit to the turn signal circuit just on the driver side. If you turn on the driver turn signal with the headlights off, the left or both headlights might flash, but be very dim. The headlight circuit and turn signal circuit are 2 different circuits. If you turn the headlights on and the turn signal lights up with it on the driver side, the circuit is shorted together. I bet the rear turn signal comes on too but be very dim. Might not be able to see any light either since the front turn bulb is using up all the volts. Probably have to start tracing wires to find the short on the driver turn signal in the light harness if you dont see anything obvious.

If that is the problem, new bulb sockets can be ordered from Rock Auto. If your cheap like me grind/cut away the socket plastic at the ground lead and re-solder the wire. Seal with epoxy or liquid tape.
