Turn Signal Lever Sets off Horn

Just bought a 88 firebird gta for a project car, just got the car up and going but nothing worked " dash, lighting, windows, etc," . Found that the pervious owner pulled a fuse out "crsk 20a" which powers every thing. Now that everything works, when i just touch the turn signal lever the horn goes off.

I have taken off the steering wheel but didn't want to go much further,

any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Re: Turn Signal Lever Sets off Horn

Well before you start taking things apart we should isolate where the problem is. Even though it seems obvious that it would be by the turn signal lever and may very well be this also may not be the case. Does it matter which way you turn the turn signal? does it happen if you switch the high beams?

Re: Turn Signal Lever Sets off Horn

it dosnt matter how u touch it, moving it one centimeter makes it goes off, if its in the middle dosnt nothing, also when i use the turn signals it dosnt indicate in on the dash nor does high beams,
the blinkers and the high beam do work
