does anyone know how to make a 12v fused jumper and if so can you tell me how to make one so i can figure out why i am getting this code

 

got extra wire layin around? if you cant figure out how to take some wire and use an inline fuel to make a jumper.

Maybe you shouldn't be putting 12v to what ever your gonna try and do.

Sorry to come off as an *** but without more info and more knowledge on your part you might do more harn then good if your not sure of what your doing.

(easiest way is a test light)

 

u dont seem like an ***. i was going over how to check my codes and for code 33 it say to hook up a jumper to it to see if its getting power.

 

well you dont want to hook up 12v to it then.
You want to see if its getting power to the maf./map

get yourself a good multimeter to check voltages. it will tell you how much power etc.
A test light will work and just tell you if your getting power. any autoparts store should have both items.

okay the reason that i need a 12v jumper is to hook up to my adla as the service manual says to make it easier to find the bad wire i should have causing a me to have a code so if any one could tell me how to make one that would be appreciated

 

Old thread but I just purchased a repair manual and I’m also trouble shooting code 33 and the manual says to jump 12v with a fused jumper. How exactly do it do that? Thank you

 

If test light to ground , the one side not probe is grounded.
If states hook to 12v the clamp side is connected to positive lead of battery and your probe end is looking for a ground signal to illuminate the test light.

 

hey was up! Happy Friday! I purchased the manual you recommended and you know just still following the same codes after the new ECM lol. Now that I got the manual, it’s the lingo and the diagrams that I need help in now.

 

so looks like they changed the pig tail that’s why the new colors don’t match but the red 993 wire is now brown with the new pig tail. I might have a lot of ground and wiring issues and glad You recommended me the manual. I just need to know how to jump those 12v but not after I make sure all wires all all properly connected. You can see how horrible they are connected and the dark green 998 wasn’t even connected anymore

 

On your aldl you might not have a wire in G , G is fuel pump
was hoping the ecm was the problem solver

Sucks that it wasn’t the ecm wasn’t the problem solver. But you know what, it doesn’t shut off when I put it into gear, it actually sounds like it’s going to stall but stays on. The new ECM gives me the same codes 33,36, 42, and 43 with code 42 being a new code. But honestly seeing how they cobbled the wires like you said, I might just have wire issues.
check out this relay! My fans where not turning on and with a new relay , they turned on! Something shorted. The also ridged up the fan system by making they direct and jumping from one relay to another. It has the clutch fan plus one small fan in the front and both spin. I didn’t even know the the clutch fan worked and thought it was only using the new fan. The wiring is all messed up lol. It’s keeping me busy that’s for sure. Love working on it .

You might upgrade to 88 up relays efi connection has fan relay pigtail and tpi parts.net has maf relay pigtails

 

For anyone following along and want to know what I was asking, this YouTube video I found is the best example of out successful draw that 12volts to power terminal G. Make sure you find the load side and draw side of the fuse when inserting
