Hatch brake light wont turn off

Hey guys,

Recently I notcied my 91 camaro has been running pretty weak, and the lights seem dimmer then usual. I notice the voltage drops low whenever I break and things dim. I know it's not the batter because it's pretty new.
I think the culprit may be the hatch / 3rd brake light.

When pulling my headliner today, I saw a white bulb that was on it the brake. My car wasn't running, and I tried finding a way of turning it off. Im shocked that it was stuck on, and Im not sure how long its been on for. I dont remember seeing it on at night, but it looks pretty weak.

My question is, how can I turn it off? I want to get it off as soon as I can to keep my battery alive. Thanks

It sounds like the third brake light ( the doofus light) (I always remove them) switch is stuck in the closed position.

It’s located on the brake pedal shaft in the footwell.

Happy Racing!

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look doofy. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!
