Re: ac wiring help needed !
Second pic - that connector - not sure, but it may be the EST (Electronic Spark Timing) wire - if it is, this is what you disconnect when you need to change the timing - disconnect, start car, set base timing, turn car off, reconnect.
Third pic - the black cut wire - it's the ground for the blower fan - I think it connects to the relay that should be there.
7th pic - I beleive this is a sensor wire - should connect to something close to the center of the motor, at the top - something ay the carb, or another sensor that has a matching female connector.
8th pic - same as pic 7 - connects to a sensor or something on carb - or maybe the brake proportioning valve?
(sorry - it's been a long time since I've seen these)
Didn't help ya much I know - but maybe you'll find them.

7th pic - doesn't it connect on the top of the a/c compressor? I forgot, this is an 84, so a/c is on driver side

Re: ac wiring help needed !
Your harness is officially hacked
Pic 1: HVAC connector
There should be another 4 pin flat connector that plugs into this on the HVAC box. Without it, the fan will never turn on and the AC will never engage
Pic 2: Alot going on here
The green connector is the MAP sensor. The gray single wire connector is TAC signal to the ECM. This must be disconnected each time you set timing and reconnected to run. The rest is not stock
Pic 3: Cut wires
Black/Red is power to the coolant fan from the relay. Due to proximity Id say the black is the fan ground
Pic 4: Relays
A 90-92 V6 should have 3 relays up there. AC clutch, Fuel, Fan. The stray connector is the fuel pump prime. Add 12V and the fuel pump will prime. The gray wire grounding to the bracket is not stock
Pic 5: Fuel pump wire
Unlike every other relay GM used, fuel pumps engage by adding 12V to the call wire (dark green/white). Gray is commonly the fuel pump relay output wire and powers your pump directly. It should not be attached to the call wire or grounded
Pic 6: Wierd connectors
Not stock, I dont knwo what that is. It looks like two headlight plugs stuck together
Pic 7/8: What are these?
AC clutch connector and AC high pressure switch connector. Front of the compressor and rear of the compressor
This is stock fuel control. I drew it for engine swap cars but you get the idea. The ECM call wire should be C1 A11

http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport...ta_sensors.jpg
Same thing for fan control. Call wire is C3 E8

Re: ac wiring help needed !
I can tell you that someone screwed up your HVAC box as well. The top where it looks to be partially melted should only have one tube coming out. The condenser is wrong and the wiring is a nightmare
Heres an old pic of my LO3

Also I see the compressor has V belts. This is completely wrong. In 88 all 3rd gens went serpentine. I think someone swapped in a replacement engine and made due with that was there. Oddly enough the 90-92 digital 3.1 EGR is still there
This is a HVAC harness removed. Yours has alot of the old features, like the case fan ground. The red plate screwed to the box is actually a resistor pack. In my pics it is the large gray connector. Ive never seen one that style before. My friend's 79 even uses the same resistor as 3rd gens. I dont know what thats from but its ancient
Top right, moving left curving down:
Resistor connector
AC line pressure switch
Blower fan relay
HVAC to engine harness inline connector
blower fan connector

Compressor connectors with 4 pin HVAC connector

Under your compressor there is a 6 pin inline connector. These were not used by GM until the mid-late 90's. What this goes to I dont know but its not stock. Here is one I reused for my LSx cruise miniharness as reference

Re: ac wiring help needed !
Pocket, that 6-wire connector you mentioned should be for the fuel injector harness on the 3.1... Just a heads-up.
Yes, that black stuff is a sort of insulator/sealer... I've seen it used on our home when they retrofitted our 200 year old house with central A/C... That crap is all over the place around the HVAC piping.
Either way, I can't imagine that fixing that mess is going to be anything short of a complete nightmare. Especially if the compressor goes belly-up or you want to charge it and use it. I'll bet they don't have a label as to how much R-12 (or R-134) goes into the system, do they? How did those people even DO that in the first place? That was a complete hack job!
:edit: I doubt it was an engine swap... It seems more like the car was one of those that didn't come from the factory with A/C and one of the previous owners REALLY wanted A/C some time in the past, so this no-name company retrofitted their crappy system into the car.
:edit: If you want to do the A/C system right, I have a blower housing up for grabs, but I'd rather not get rid of that part of my wiring harness.

That's not what is on my 3.1 wiring harness I have laying out on my back porch... Just 1 connector for the fuel injectors (4 pins) and the CTS (2 pins)... I've also got a similar fuel injector harness from another 91 with a complete fuel rail from someone on here that was the same.
:edit: Unplugging that sucker for diagnosis is a real pain when installed right, BTW...
As seen here, you can see the factory bundled the A/C compressor wires up because the donor was a non-A/C car:
