Fuzzy Speakers
I have an 87 camaro stereo in my 84. But the previous owner had cut the wires for an aftermarket. So i had to do my own wiring and everything works except that when i turn the volume over 22 it starts to get real staticy. Idk if its just bad wiring or what?? But if u know how to fix it please tell.....

Re: Fuzzy Speakers
Could be a bad ground my car did the same thing I'd crank up the volume and when it would draw more power it would start popping. To fix it I took some wire and wired it from the headunit to the seat rail bolt and problem solved. I also wired the ground from the battery to the body being it was hooked up to the engine and I did notice better sound quality but not a huge difference.

Re: Fuzzy Speakers
It's possible that what you're hearing is distortion from a head unit which has insufficient power to rock hard and clearly. If so, be careful not to blow your speakers. For a more specific answer, you might try the Car Audio forum.
