A Few Electrical Problems

I have a 1987 Camaro IROC-Z and there are a few electrical problems I can't seem to fix.

1) Power locks don't work, I tried changing the breaker

2) The wipers work but the intermittent feature does not

3) The temperature gauge is stuck way up past the 220 line, rarely comes down and when it does it's incorrect

4) Lights for the blinkers in the cluster don't light up, before I tear apart the cluster I was hoping there is a different remedy in case the bulbs aren't burnt out

5) Rear defroster doesn't work, yes the wires are connected

6) Dome light only lights up when the drivers door is open not the passenger

If theres anything else I think of i'll post again.

4: Check all the wires on the turn signal lights. One of my wires to the fender-mounted lights came loose and the turn signals still worked on the front and rear but the lights on the dash stopped working.

6: My car's the same way. The wires to the switch for the passenger door were cut by the PO.

Unlocking The Solution

POWER LOCKS► In addition to the CB’s, the locks are also protected by the ACC fuse.

Did you try the “passenger” side switch?

Press the door lock button(s) and listen for a relay clicking.

If you don’t hear it, remove the left shroud to gain access.

Test the relay with 12 volts and a meter for proper operation.

Happy Racing!

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards

When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.

How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain
