Tail Light/Brake Light Socket Replacement - 90 RS
I think my old tail light/brake light socket has a short in it somewhere (caused by me using a sharp tool and WD-40 to remove the old bulb casing) and I'd like to replace it. However, all of the new sockets that I can find have three wires, whereas my original socket has four wires. Can I make the three wire sockets work? If not, where can I find a new four wire socket?

The three wire socket will work.
The fourth wire on your socket is connected to the third wire so it can be directed to the next socket in the car.
When you hookup the new socket connect the double wire to the one wire on the new socket.
Hopefully the new socket’s wires are color coded the same as the original socket.
Otherwise an ohmmeter will solve the problem.
