Turn Signal Indicator

So, I never even realized it, and who knows how long its been like this... I should probably pay more attention... but I noticed my left turn signal indicator on my dash doesn't work. The signal works outside, and I can hear the ticking, just no light on the dash. could it be a burnt out bulb? A loose wiring? Another idea?

Re: Turn Signal Indicator

It's probably just the indicator bulb burnt out. My right one is the same way - i got some LEDs off ebay to replace them all with.

ya, I was thinking of going to led's... this just kinda gives me a reason to start doing it. It's not really a necessity to get it working, more of a curiosity.
did you just get regular led's and solder them in, or did you find led's that just pop into place like the originals? If that's even possible..

Re: Turn Signal Indicator

I just bought drop-in replacement ones off ebay. They are so cheap, I don't even think I could build them for less money. I am 99% sure your indicator bulbs are 194's, but it might be worth double-checking. My digital dash takes oddball tiny ones.

Anyways, just search ebay motors for "194 LED", and you'll find a ton of them. Most of them ship from China though, which takes a couple weeks to ship.

Edit: I forgot to mention - the LED bulbs only work one way. So make sure and test them all before you put the dash back together. If one doesn't light up, take it out and flip it around the other way.
