Re: Headlight problem????
outer = low beams
Highs or lows will be on, but not both at the same time.

well when i turn on the high beams the outer lights just flicker up and the low beams stay on the outside and flicker down. Idk if its something in the wiring or wat.

No Light ?. . . . Outa Site !
If they just flicker you might have a bad dimmer switch, or loose wiring going to it.
Use a voltmeter at the output of the switch to find out which one it is.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.
How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime
and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain

Re: Headlight problem????
Popo, in reply to your PM, check the following:
Headlights
Circuit Operation:
Voltage is applied to the light switch at all times. The light switch includes a self-resetting circuit breaker which opens and closes if the headlight circuit draws too much current. When the light switch is in "Head," the headlight dimmer switch directs current to either the lo beams or the hi beams. Current to the hi beams also flows to the high beam indicator.
Troubleshooting Hints:
If only one headlight doesn't work in both "hi" and "lo", check the ground wiring.
If headlights don't work in just "hi" or just "lo", check headlight dimmer switch.
If headlights flash on and off with switch in "head," isolate short to ground. Operate the headlight dimmer switch to find if the short to ground is in tan or lt grn wires.
If only the "hi'" headlights flash on and off, check lt grn wires for shorts to ground.
If only the "lo" headlights flash on and off, check tan wires for shorts to ground.
If both "hi" and "lo" headlights flash on and off, check the yel wire for a short to ground.

Re: Headlight problem????
Since the high beam indicator changes, power seems to be running through it as it should. The highs, however, don't turn on. Is that correct?

And you've replaced and adjusted the dimmer switch at the bottom of the steering column?

Re: Headlight problem????
When my dimmer switch went bad, if the lo's were on and I switched to high's, nothing at all worked. Blackness. (I found that out in pre-dawn darkness. Scared the bejeeus out of me.)
