power antenna

Hey guys, I was wondering which cars used the same power antenna as the one in my 91 Trans Am, so I know what to look for in a junkyard or something (my local JY rarely has third gens). I wanna keep the factory feel so I'm looking for a similar replacement since mine broke.

Re: power antenna

I think if it had a power antenna, it is like the one you have. They didn't change much. The only thing that might be different is the bezel at the top. Some advice...Buy a new one off of Ebay or some other site. They are all crap after about 10 years. It's worth the $70 - $100. Not to mention it will take you forever to find a working used one at a JY.

Re: power antenna

There are kits that fix the mast, if your antenna simply isn't functioning. There's also a relay on the pass side somewhere.

Re: power antenna

Thanks guys! I decided to try something new instead of the power antenna. I ordered a concealed amplified antenna off of ebay yesterday for 30 bucks. There is a guarantee so I thought why not... and the car will look cleaner. I'll let you know how it works once I install it!
