hey i just picked up a 91 firebird that is in great condition for $300!!! the only thing that i can find wrong with it is the electronics don't work. the dome light wont come on, dash lights, head lights wont flip up or come on, the radio, basically what ever has to deal with lights will not work! lol

any main spots i can check. i looked at the fuses and i didn't see anything?

 

Does it start up or does nothing when you turn the key over?

 

Remove and clean all wires going to the starter solenoid.

no it starts and everything... i ordered a new head light switch but i dought it is the problem

 

the first time I looked at my car before I bought it, it was doing exactly what you described. The guy who owned it worked on it, said he fixed something with the headlight switch, and it has been fine from then on.

I can't swear he replaced the switch, but if not, it was something related to the switch

 

ok so i been working on it for like 5+ hours already!

i bought one of them screw driver that light up when you put it on a hot wire.

all the fuses are good(tested all of them). the wires that go into the box for the switch that plugs in the wires that are supposed to be hot arnt?

i need to figure this out. if any one has suggestion i appreciate it cuz im out.

just turned 16 got my license and haven't gotten to drive yet!

 

sounds like a switch problem,you checked continunity for the fuses so theyre good have you checked power at the- light- fuse location and if thats good,fuses are good and you still have no power at the switch plug it might be a bad wire connection at the fuse block,or bad wire
