91 Camaro alternator problems

I bought my 91 camaro rs, 5.0 a few weeks ago. When i got it, the alternator was completely burnt up.. literally. The connector was gone, and the alternator wat destroyed. I got a new alternator, new battery and new alternator connector.

I need to know which wires go where i the connector. The connector has the letters S F L P on it. There were 3 wires connected to the old alternator, a big guage wire goin to the back, and a red and a brown.. I just need to know where the smaller red wire and brown wire go, S F L or P?

Also what does the 20 A fan fuse have to do with the alternator? I am looking in my Haynes book, and it is showing the brown wire going to the 20A fan fuse, which is blown. I have changed it now but i was just wondering what it was for.

The heavier red wire goes to the positive stud.

The thinner
red wire goes to terminal S (the sensing circuit).

The
brown wire goes to terminal T (the turn-on input).

That fuse has nothing to do with the alt.

It’s shown there because that’s the line they tapped off for the fan.
