Starter Wiring
I have a 1986 Camaro which was a 305 carb, I just put in a 383 stroker and I relocated my battery to the rear of the car and i am wondering if anyone could help me. I have one small blackish color wire i knows goes to the starter than i have another wire the has two wires the connect and make one wire I know that goes to the starter. Now here my question do i connect the battery wire that comes straight from the battery to the starter or no?

Re: Starter Wiring
you still connect the batter to the post on the start. The other wires, assuming they haven't been molested, should be the fusible links for main feed on the bulkhead connector and the blackish was probably purple a long time ago and is your starter enable wire (solenoid).

Re: Starter Wiring
you also need to make sure the charge wire on the back of the alternator is attached to the starter. Without this your car will not charge and you will have a dead battery within a couple of days.
