Wiring Wideband O2(LC1) on Pre-Vats car
Have a 87 Camaro I'm planning on putting a Innovate LC1 onto this weekend.
I have read that voltage spikes are bad and you should not have it powered when the car is cranking.
Where can I get voltage that is hot when key on...off when in start, and on when running?
I have looked for a relay for the starter that would provide such a voltage...but can't figure it out on my Non-VATs car. Most posts I've seen refer to the VATs relay.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Run key on power from suitable source through a 5 pin relay (wired NC ) that is opened by starter circuit. That will cut power to WB while cranking

I read the Innovate manual and it only said to run 12V to it with min 5 A fuse. No where did I see anything about a relay in it. I tried to go to the forum yesterday and it was down.

Less Relays, Less Weight !
Yes there a circuits which are hot in run but not hot in start no relays required.
One of them is the wiper circuit.
You can tap into that circuit, add a fuse, and you’re good 2 go.
