power windows not working??
well my friend and i installed a radio into my camaro today and now the windows wont move. I checked the fuses and replaced the relay but nothing seemed to happen. also, my hatch release wasnt working either but i figured out that it works when the e brake is up or the car is off? what else could the problem be? any help is appriciated. thanks.

The widows have a common circuit amp breaker instead of fuses.
Check the breaker for 12 volts in and out.
The breaker is located in the fuse block to the left of the steering column.
If the breaker is OK use a test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester)
or voltmeter to see if you have power at the pink wire going to the switches.
Is there power there?

Re: Window No Go
well if the breakers are the metal box things then those are good as well. im getting a voltage tester tomorrow. will check power. is there any way i could just temporarily hard wire them to the battery to get them up? they are stuck in the down position....

To get the left window up ground the brown wire on the left switch and apply power to the dark blue wire.
To get the right window up ground the tan wire on the right switch and apply power to the light blue wire.
Put a 30 amp fuse in line with the power jumper as a precaution.

Re: Window No Go
i got it figured out. it was a ground wire that was pulled loose when we pulled the radio out.
