whats the box under the dash next to ecm?
its an aluminum case, with a yellow plug. when i turn key on, it buzzes, so i fanagled it out of the dash while it was on, cracked her open and yes, theres a little coil like doodad whapped in black shiny stuff, buzzing, when i press on it, it quiets, ????????????? WTF does this thing do? sorry for the language but my injectors wont pulse, or squirt so just wondering if this has something to do with it.

Sounds like the VSS buffer box. It is mounted on the same plastic carrier as the ECM. Won't stop injector pulses.
The VATS is a plastic box the size of a deck of cards behind and above the radio. Very difficult to get to. It will prevent injector pulses and the fuel pump.
A picture would be handy.

sorry, i just put it back in, but i heard that if the ignition mod, under the cap goes bad this could happen, but my fuel pump kicks on, so i still aint sure what to do, its a 92 rs, and all this stuff was replaced 4-5 years ago, i drove it for a week, then the fuel pump went, it sat 4-5 years from there and finally i got it all back together, so now , no fuel injector pulse, fuel is gettin up there, what to do . . . . . . thanx for helpin me out anyway guys . but feel free to check out my pics anyway[hehe!]

Sounds like the airbag module. Nothing else in the vicinity has an aluminum case and yellow plug. The buffer box is yellow or white plastic case
No injector pulse can be a number of things. Check the INJ1/2 fuses and that they connectors are getting 12v IGN on the pink side. If the 12v side is correct then the circuit to the ECM needs to be tested. TPIs are batch fired, but controlled by each bank, so testing one wire from each bank is sufficient. If the wiring checks out you've got a faulty ECM
