identify wires

what are these wires for? the orange has 12v going through it

Orange I'm not sure of - can you get a better pic of the connector?

Red looks like where the underhood light connects.

Oh - just remembered - there is also a test connection somewhere in the bay that when 12v is applied, the fuel pump runs (this is what I've read, I'm not sure.)

Test the red wire and see if it has 12v on it with light switch on, if it does it's probably underhood light. If it has no voltage at all on it, then see what happens if you put 12v to it (listen for fuel pump).

You're close

Red is fuel pump relay prime, orange is underhood light

Red never has voltage across it, its for testing purposes only. Orn will always have 12v on it. If the car has an underhood light equipped, it will have a switch mounted to the hood to energize the light. Otherwise it just has the lead in the bay
