'89 Firebird -- A few electrical problems.

Hi,
I have a few electrical problems on my 89 Formula. First of all, I swapped to carb from TPI and the cruise doesn't work, I dont know if it worked before the swap (car couldnt propel itself). I check the grey wire at the brake pedal and it has 12 volts with the key on and the cruise switch on. There is also vacum at the servo under the hood. Where is the cruise control module located and Where should I even start?

Second is a short in the blinker/back up light circuit. All of the lights work flawlesly (blinkers blink like they should, back up lights work) But after a little bit it blows the fuse. I looked a little but didnt find anything. What/where do I look for this also???

Thanks.

This is for a 1992 - but should be the same:

Tons of wiring diags here: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19

Maybe that will help some.

The cruise control module is located pass side, up in and behind the ECM.

Thanks, I found it and got the cruise to work. It was broken wires on the blinker lever. So now any ideas on the short?? Is this a common thing?
