Turn Signal problems

So my right front turn signal lights won't work on my '90 rs. The rear light comes on and stays on though. The hazards won't make them flash either but the rear will flash instead of staying on. I have searched and to date tried the following based on everyone elses problems.
1 - new bulbs
2 - switched the hazard flasher with the turn signal flasher
3 - cleaned all sockets and grounds
4 - checked spliced connections
The last thing I tried was I jumped power from the battery to the light blue wire and got lights to come one. Im no electrician but I figured that meant it wasn't a bad ground. The only thing left in my mind is bad switch or wires underneath the dash. I get a headache every time i look under there. Is there something im missing? I really don't want to dig into the steering column but thats all i have left. Any help will appreciated!

Re: Turn Signal problems

Forgot to add that the park lights work on that side too. Just no turn signal.

Take 2 Aspirin And Call An Electrician In The Morning

With the key in RUN, turn signal stalk in the right turn position, use a test light to probe the dark blue wire out of the turn signal switch.

Is there power there?

If not, replace the switch.

If there is power there, make sure it gets in and out of the connector located near the lower right of the steering column.

Then make sure power gets in and out of the large connector located near the left front of the dash below the relay bracket.

From there it goes to the lamps on the front of the car.

Happy Racing!
