The V6 wiring would be fine, why try and swap out - all you need is standard stuff. All the pass side wiring will not be used, all of the driver side wiring will (driver side wiring is the basics like alt, tach, lights, etc.). What are you using for a tranny?

pass side wiring harness, and driver side wiring harness. pass side is all computer functions that you'll no longer need - it runs under the pass footwell. driver side harness is all basic functions, and the same whether V6 car or V8 car - no need to replace any harness - it runs through drivers side footwell.

Thanks , the harness on the 92 was cut up by the previous owner , the 89 is complete just wondering if the 89 harness will plug into the 92 connection block on the drivers side and work ?

OK - I see! I thought that you thought that you needed a V8 engine harness because you were putting a V8 into a V6 car. I have no idea if the bulkhead connectors will match up. I do know there's a bolt hidden in the middle of the connector on the engine side of the firewall that you'll have to remove before the engine harness will come off the firewall connector.
