How to connect battery to car with engine removed?

Hey fellas

Has anyone encountered this before? I have an 86 IROC roller. Removed engine about 9 -10 yrs ago. Hooking up a battery of course yields nothing as there is no power to main harness. Does anyone have a quick and dirty method to hooking up power to the car's electrical system? I need to roll up my windows to wash the car. I'm going to start restoring it soon and the body needs to be clean. Thanks in advance.

Plug a jumper into the alternator connector? Plug a jumper into the fuse box under the dash? Unplug the window switch and jump the contacts on the socket?

you need to connect the heavy gauge wires that run to the starter to get power to the main harness if you connect the battery in the stock location. Watch out for loose wires that could cause a short
