305 TPI hei Distributor work on a Carbed 350?
I replaced the 305 TPI H.O. in my 86 TA with a 350 lo5 with aluminium l98 heads and a zz4 roller cam, edlebrock performer intake and 750 carb. is there any way I can use the 305 tpi distributor in the 350? I know its a computer controlled distributor but what sensors control it? Ive heard it was the knock sensor. if I just hook up the the oxygen, knock, & heat sensors will it run properly?

It would be easier to just replace the distributor.

Thanks I figured that was the case and was gonna buy one with vacuum advance but once I get my TPI redone I was going back to fuel injection and hoped I could just use the tpi distributor intill then.

Not exactly true, CCC Q-jets have a TPS, but I do see where you are going - and OP, no it won't work if your not using electronically controlled timing anymore.
