Turn Signal Lever all messed up, No high Beams, etc

Thanks for the help, just purchased a camaro last night so I am starting to work on it to get it back in order. Its a 1990 RS 305, 5 speed (the seller swears its a 350...I didnt think they made 350s in this year, manual and t-tops?) Anyway, I will run the vin later for that.

My question, I have been repairing what he tore apart. The turn signal/cruise/wiper switch seems all messed up, here is what its doing (or actions in relation to it).
1) a chunk of wires with connector are hanging that seem to be the cruise control, but I cant tell where they plug in at.
2) The arm locks when using right turn, but left turn it is difficult to stay in the turn position
3) The High beam connector is not connected (Anyone have a picture of how it connects, I cant figure it out)
4) the intermitent wipers dont work, only low and high. When I set it to intermittent the wipers move just a little then go back down

I appreciate if anyone has any advice or pictures especially, not sure if he replaced this at one time or not or why its all messed up. Are all these problems because of the lever?

On the plus side I removed about 20 lbs of dirt, fixed the radio, fixed the rear hatch motor in the first day.

If it's still factory motor, it's NOT a 350 - 350's were never offered factory because the 5sp tranny can't handle the 350.

The hi beam is actuated with a rod - there will be no wires in the column associated with the hi beam part of the lever. The lever actuates a rod that moves up/down the steering column and pushes a switch located above the brake pedal - take panel off underdash and look, you will see the rod go to a switch.

The turn signal not staying in one position sounds like the plastic cam inside the column is either out of place or broken - for this you'll need to maybe remove the steering wheel. Make sure to 1st pull the fuse for the airbag and 2nd disconnect the airbag wires under the steering wheel - they are yellow wires and have warning tags on them. You'll also need to rent (for free) a steering wheel puller from autozone/advance/oreillys to get the steering wheel off.

The rest I'm not familiar with. Good luck, and welcome to TGO!

Update-
I found a thread about the lever for the High beams, I tracked it down to the switch under the dash that works its way down. I am curious if anyone has a picture of how this rod connects or lines up to the lever? I am not sure if mine might be bent, but it doesnt seem to want to line up correctly at all.

Also, I found out I have 2 sets of wires from the turn signal lever, I assume cruise and intermittent wipers, neither of them were connected and I cant locate where I would find the other half to plug them in. Are these in the steering wheel or something? I appreciate the help,

Im having a similar problem, where the hi beam switch doesnt click like it use to, and then the high beams get stuck on, until i jiggle it and play with it for 20 minutes, do i have to take the steering wheel off and replace a component or is there an easier fix

Yours sounds like an easy fix. Take the kick panel off and you will see whtere the rod goes to a white switch. That switch has two bolts that you loosen and it will slide up or down. Over time they slide down, so just adjust and tighten it up and you are good to go.

I havent had any luck on mine yet, the rod doesnt even come in contact with the lever, not sure if it is bent or whats going on, havent been able to find any pics of what its supposed to look like.

Good luck

If you have a tilt wheel, then set the tilt wheel at the position you normally use to drive, and then adjust the switch so the rods works it - it's almost impossible to get the switch to work at all positions of the tilt wheel, so set the wheel first where you like it.
