early engine swap into late model camaro
I have a pre 1986 block with early model heads off a corvette 1969. It is a 383 stroker hopefully pulling around 400-450 hp. I have a direct replacement L460 700R4 trans. It has a carb right now but I want to convert to a tbi. Putting it in a 1991 RS. Wondering if I should stick with an original wiring harness or go with a universal one. Have an original harness but not sure it is in good enough shape to use it after this much work. My car is a shell right now so a lot of effort to go with crappy wire. Plus electrical issues are NEVER fun when you have to hunt them down in the car. Anyone with computer knowledge would be a great help. Smart but not nerd smart so computers and electronics basics are all I am good for. Thanks in advance.

id go with the factory harness, you basically throw it at the car and you're done.
all of the aftermarket stuff you will have to add circuits into to make it run properly.
the most major one is the speed sensor is missing in aftermarket pieces, so the car
will never go into highway mode enleanment, and the torque converter wont lock up.
super crap mileage with no cruise control.
its also missing the egr wiring, that means less mileage and the car will have a strong
desire for spark knock (pinging) and you will have to run fuel thats around 97octane.
