turn signals

I have a 1989 Camaro RS. The Left turn signal has recently stoped flashing. It just stays iluminated. The right one, and hazards, are still working fine though. Can any one help me out?

Re: turn signals

Based on what you described, there is a bad bulb somewhere....if the hazards and right indicators are still working, that means the flasher unit in the fuse box area is still good, so theres a bad bulb somewhere, whether at the front or in the back, you'll have to find that out.

Re: turn signals

Try removing the bulb and cleaning the socket. Pinch the connector too. Check the socket wiring for any sign of a crack that might expose any bare copper wiring possibly shorting the gound side of the circuit.

Re: turn signals

So what could be the problem if both stay illuminated?

Re: turn signals

Well, I just replaced 3 (of 6) taillight/brake light bulbs, 2 on the driver's side 1 on the pass side. All seems to be right with the world now. If it turned out to be a fluke, and the thing starts just staying on, I'll post up again.
