window/trunk motor problems
My window motor went out again, at least thats what I thought. I took it out of the door and actually opened it up cleaned the insides and regreased it. It worked, it worked good going both ways. From what I experienced I removed my trunk motor and first hooked it up to the battery and it worked also. Neither of these things functioned in the car, I checked fuses so it wasnt that.

I notice that the window motor would run then smoke with a smell and then would stop. When I took it apart I noticed that the grease that was sealed in there was fine but was all bunched up into one small area, causing more resistance than lubrication.(I read that they have a built in breaker if the motors strained to much the breaker will activate causing it to stop
).I just no after reassembly the motor, it runs perfect and doesnt smoke/smell or stop. Also when removing the trunk motor I was looking at what I think is a relay attached to it, and that peice looks a little suspect with crud around some of the wire connections. It could either be these things or maybe the actual switchs not functioning properly. Any input would help, have previous experience on these matters share your wisdom im tired of the few conveniences built into this car being really inconveniunt.
