This is not on my camaro, but on my truck. I went out to start this morning and I was doing weird stuff. I thought my battery was low so I put my jumper box on it. When I went to start it the negative termanil started smoking. I removed cables from jumper box. I am almost sertain all grounds are good. Does not smoke when trying to start without jumpers. It turns over then bogs down. I assume it is starter. Am I right?

 

Update. Turns out I assumed wrong. Starter is good. Had it checked out. Put it back in. Turned key. Oil dipstick housing turn glowing orange. Small fire. Burned through a spark plug wire. Hopefully did not fry anything else. All wires were hooked up correctly. I am 100% positive. Only thing I can think is that maybe I pinched positive wire behind starter when I put it back in. Hard to see, dark out. Any other ideas, thoughts, expieriences????
