automatic unlock unlock in an 84 trans am
Can I put an automatic unlock (remote) in my 84 trans am? It has a key unlock originally but I'd like to switch it out.

If you are talking about door locks, if you have electric locks it's easy. If not, there are aftermarket kits available as well as the possibility of grabbing electric lock solenoids/mechanics from a JY 3rd gen that has them.

the door lock itself is not what controls power locks, its the actuator. if your vehicle did not come with power locks to begin with, you'll have to install the wiring and actuators to make them powered. I have manual locks myself and looked to convert myself. thirdgen ranch has a pretty good conversion package with all the factory parts you should need

just get a clifford alarm or viper or whatever with auto door lock control on board and youl be protected from car snatchers and have what you are loking for i prefer clifford alarms if you decide to go in that directon
