Re: one headlight not other?
The headlight motor bushing is probably bad. I think thirdgen ranch used to sell bushings for 10 bucks.

Re: one headlight not other?
You may need to replace the motor then. I did a search and found this thread about metal VS plastic bushings. Hope it helps

Re: one headlight not other?
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong.....
The headlight door control module has separate circuits for each headlight, for this exact reason. If the control module went out, then both headlights wouldn't work. By having dual circuits, each headlight is separate & not likely that both circuits could fail at the same time. This way, you at least have 1 headlight & don't lose both.

On the firewall, drivers side, just right of center & left of the brake booster. It has 1 plugs on it & slides to the right to come out of its bracket.

Re: one headlight not other?
I bet you could jumper power to the motor. If it goes up, that points even more towards the Module being bad. Maybe the 2 headlight plugs could be switched on the Module & see if the one not going up switches?

Re: one headlight not other?
Glad it worked out for you. I had one doing the same thing & cleaning it didn't help, so I replaced it with a spare I had laying around. At least I didn't hafta buy one.
