Wiring for the heater/AC control

They're right in the center of the firewall, Can I just hack these off? I'm not using heat, or A/C anymore, and they're about 1" from the header so they may burn up...

Re: Wiring for the heater/AC control

Given how far north you are, I wouldn't get rid of the heat permanently by 'hacking' the wires. 1 inch is plenty of space - if worried, wrap the end close to the header with some heat material like used for the starter, or else use one of those plug wire protector sleeves.

1" is plenty of clearance

If you're talking about the HVAC mini-harness behind the pass cyl head, just remove it. Take out the HVAC headunit and unplug it. Pull the grommet through and unplug it from the engine harness
